Chicago Computer Club Leases 2,262 SF at Next Realty's Gappie Plaza in Chicago's Bronzeville Neighborhood

Northbrook, IL (August 9, 2006) – Next Realty LLC announced today that Chicago Computer Club has leased 2,262 square feet of space at Gappie Plaza, located on the southwest corner of East 35th Street and Martin Luther King Drive in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood. As a result, the 22,000-square-foot strip center now is fully leased.

Chicago Computer Club offers repair and consulting services, as well as used computers for sale. The Bronzeville location will be the company’s third store. The other two Chicago Computer Club stores are in Chicago’s Chatham and Beverly neighborhoods, also on the South Side.

“With Chicago Computer Club now joining our tenant roster, we’ve fully executed our long-term plan to reposition Gappie Plaza with market-rate rents and a stable base of tenants providing products and services that neighborhood consumers want,” said Marc Blum, chief operating officer, Next Realty. “The arrival of Chicago Computer Club at Gappie Plaza reflects the increased demand for professional services in the Bronzeville community resulting from its ongoing revitalization. We are pleased to bring a much-needed service to the neighborhood.”

Other tenants at Gappie Plaza include Chase, T-Mobile, Athlete’s Foot and, most recently, Mena’s Hair Design, a popular salon with multiple Chicago locations.
