Next Realty Announces Sale of Six Acres of Land, Two Buildings in Alexandria, Virginia

McLean, VA (October 10, 2005) – Next Realty and Next Realty Mid-Atlantic, have announced the sale of a 6.06 acre redevelopment site in Alexandria, Va., for an undisclosed sum. The site includes two buildings comprising 47,000 square feet of space.

In 2003, a joint venture between NMA Alexandria and GZG Bakery Properties purchased the property, located at 1100 and 1200 N. Fayette St. The partnership has now sold the site to Jaguar Development, LLC.

“This is a great piece of property in a prime location just minutes from Washington DC across the Potomac River,” said George Galloway, Principal of Next Realty Mid-Atlantic.

The property is Zoned OCM 50, which is a mixed-use zoning allowing retail, residential and office uses. The site is located just north of the Braddock Metro Station. The purchaser intends to use the property for residential development.
