NORTHBROOK, Ill. (August 28, 2008)— In recognition of his hard work, dedication and success in the Mid-Atlantic retail market, Ray Schupp has been named a principal at Next Realty Mid-Atlantic Brokerage. George Galloway, principal, made the announcement.

As a real estate professional in Next’s Washington, DC office, Schupp represents both landlords and tenants in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and development. Schupp is part of the two-member exclusive representation team for Target in the Mid-Atlantic states, represents Circuit City, Books-A-Million, Office Depot, Golf Galaxy, and iPIC Entertainment, manages third-party ground-up leasing activity in the Mid-Atlantic, and is involved in all phases of the development process from site selection to the negotiation, acquisition, entitlement, and leasing of retail development sites for both tenant and developer clients.

Schupp is a second-generation real estate professional, following in the footsteps of his father, Raymond Schupp, who is a commercial real estate developer in the area. Schupp is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Planning Committee of the Mid-Atlantic ICSC and the Green Group, network of young real estate professionals in Washington and Baltimore, and a licensed real estate sales person in Washington, DC, Va., Md., and W.Va.
